    Toshiba 50HP66

Not sure if this is in the right place, or even allowed, but today I picked up this Toshiba 50hp66 with the screen flicker. I'm already sitting on more functional tv's than I'll likely need in the next 15 years, so I'm not going to fix this one. It's going to the recycler soon. Would anybody here need parts from this? If not, I'll likely just strip the boards out, maybe pull and test some of the caps to have as spare parts. If you can use any of this I'd rather see it get put to use than trashed.

Why trash it ? Would be a shame if you did as these older Plasmas can last a good while. Might be something simple like a loose wire.

If somebody here on site wants it they can have it. I'm in Central Illinois. I'm really not looking to stir things up, I just don't need this, and can't afford the repair (freshly laid off from work). From what I see it's a $40 part, and is recommended to replace all 4 of them. We've got a tv in all but one room here now, and 6 or 7 more downstairs waiting to be put to use.

Probably Sus ipm. Don't necessarily need to replace all four you can just replace the bad one but I'm with you - get rid of it. Also, best of luck on finding employment.

Than MM. I went ahead and posted it on the local Craigslist. Maybe somebody will make it live again.

No takers, Gone now. I did save the boards, just in case they'll do anybody any good.
