47 inch lg model 47lx6500 blacks out

Lg logo comes on just for a second then goes out. Remote and all voltages seem to be ok. Has anyone had this trouble?

    Faulty LED back-lights
You can fix if your really competent with electronics
If you are there are videos on you tube
The only problem you will have is removal of LCD panel (fragile) and finding the faulty LED

is this your power supply-LED drivers?
      http://www.shopjimmy.com/lg-eay60803...upply-unit.htm

There are many LED strings in this TV, you will have to test the Voltage on each string to see what have and go from there.

You will have sound if you are at the correct source input but since the screen is not lit then it is hard to tell at what input you are in at this point.

Yes I tried switch inputs with remote which same to be working and I even tried dvd input along with cable . no luck. Since the lg logo flashes on for a second when turned on doesn't that indicate t-con is ok? From what I can read on this site it sounds like I have a backliht problem. Is that a good guess?

That is why in my POST 3 I told you that you need to check the DCV at the LED connector, we are trying to find out if you have LED problem or the LED driver circuits problem, nothing to do with T-CON or the the sound.

Sorry-That's one of the first voltages I checked. I have two backlight plugs. I read 115 volts on input wires I assume and 13 volts. on other wires except two of wires read 10 volts. That seems to be normal but i'm not sure. I did cut 10 volt wires and then it read 13 on light side and 0 on chassis side. I didn't notice too much change except for brightness when I unplugged either plug. Set still came on for second shows lg logo and then goes off. All voltages seem normal but I must be over looking something. Any thoughts?

Well in my post 3 I asked for the verification if the link I gave has the correct pictures of your board or not (LG EAY60803402 (YP47LPBD) Power Supply / LED Board: http://www.shopjimmy.com/lg-eay60803...upply-unit.htm), at this point I have no idea which board you have.
We also need the pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we can see the board, and the whole pictures of your power supply-LED drivers board, and the closed up pictures of the LED connectors.
Right now I have no idea what the 115V input wires and the 13V are.

                      You have backlight issues
The voltages should be the same on both strings
Turn on the tv and wait 1 minute , shine a bright lamp at the screen and see if you see anything , if you do them its 100% backlights

I also need good clear pictures around the LED driver board connectors so I can read the labels for each pin.
This LG has this feature called LED Plus Technology:
                        From LG: LED Plus Technology
Tired of dark scenes or dull colors? LG's LED Plus technology provides even greater control of brightness through local dimming to deliver amazing clarity and color detail, as well as a more energy efficient TV compared to conventional TVs.
It has more than TWO LED strings, as you can see on the sub board, there are many PWM Controlled power MOSFETs for a bunch of LED strings to achieve local dimmimg.

So it has 12 LED strings (1A/B/C, 2A/B/C, 3A/B/C, 4A/B/C), V1+, V2+, V3+ and V4+ are for feeding boosted Voltage to the Anode of each LED strings
You need to take the readings of all those pins as marked by red boxes and the pins V1+, V2+, V3+ and V4+.
You need to have the red probe of the meter on each of the V+ one at a time before turning on the TV to see if the Voltage jumps up to over 100VDC and drops down a few second later or not, black probe on the chassis.

YES- They are wired together and they all jump to around 135 vdc and jumps little higher and lower and then settles down to 115 vdc and holds steady. Its the same with backlights plugged in or out. There is a power diode that goes from 115 steady voltage to backlight ckt' and it is steady at all times. A couple of filter cap are there but they are good. There is a ckt. that goes from pos. side and think it might be shut down ckt. Don't know for sure. A schematic would be a big help. Any thoughts?

LED PLUS are 2 strips each had 4 group with LED light which are 6 volts and it contain 4 light led , it bulit on the top or down the panel with plastic mirror same method of 40th size and less

i would suggest you reset it first with ( IN STOP ) if you own GALAXY s5 or any android mobile with IR i can give you remote application apk, which it had IN STOP and IN START and AZ adjust for LG TV.

you can do it with your self too, took any Double IR Remote control and headphone jack and use those file, IN STOP are Hard reset, you need only this, after you play the wave in after 3 second put the code with LG remote yours are 04103 or 0000 after you put it and successful TV goes to Stand by, leave it 5 second then turn it on again,, this will make hard reset to software abd boot loop too.

you can see how with this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qtQLrjpO4c
