    Element ELCFW329

This unit works perfectly when it wants to come on. Once it comes on, will run forever. However, there are times it will not start. If I cycle power enough times, the unit will finally come on. Does not matter, remote or local on button, same result. Should I be looking at smps or main? I tried heating different sections of both boards..no difference. I have 12 volts and 5 volts..one pin reads 4.2 volts..very strange. Nothing labeled as far as voltagees or functions of the conductors. Pictures coming.

With something like that, we always need the pin out name with the measurements on the PSU connector between it and the main board, while not working and while working. In your case I think you have 2 connectors we need measurements from. Look at SJ, they sell an EEPROM if your problem fits their description.

No connectors are labeled..I will have to measure when working and not working to see what is disappearing voltage wise.

It is the UF11 Eprom on the main board..labeled 25q16bsig..appears to be a flash memory chip..I can heat it and then press chan^ and vol down and it starts until the chip cools off.
Found the IC, 5 for $4 from china..go figure

SJ sells them for $15..Do you think that is because they are programmed or does it just function as a flash memory chip as installed?

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
              by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

Gigabyte H610M S2H V2 help to identify the element.
              by flysky
              There is a motherboard Gigabyte H610M S2H V2 (DDR5), I can't find boardview
Help to identify the element, marking on the element - C31PH. It stands next to the USB 3.0 and it looks like it is ESD Protect chip. We need a datasheet to this element. Maybe someone has already identified such an element. Help please.

The best way to drive a heating element?
              by EasyGoing1
I've got this circuit that I've been playing with on a breadboard. I'm not happy with it mainly because the MOSFET gets too hot and generally controlling the temp of the heating element with the Arduino has proven to be a little more cumbersome than I would like.

What I would like to know, is what is the best way to set up a circuit like this? The heating element is just a PCB and its going to be mounted under a 3D-printed enclosure that a lizard will use to warm his belly.

This is the general setup that I have now.

              This is what the...

Bose Companion 5 - Unit Powers On then Cuts Off Shortly After
              by nobbnobb1
              Hi guys,

Trying to salvage a Bose Companion 5 computer speaker system that powers off shortly after powering on. It's got a primary USB input (built in DAC) and an aux 3.5mm input. The USB appears to be the primarily source that tells the unit to power on (control pod LED goes green) as the unit has no power switch.

When I first connect power to the unit, plug in the USB, it will play audio nicely for a minute before it drops out and the unit appears to go into standby (control pod LED goes red). It stays in standby and I cannot seem to power it back on without physically...

Air-conditioning unit power supply failing to power up
              by Gjackson
Hi all, I managed to narrow down which PCB was causing my Haier AC to throw out an E7 error code (E7 indicates that the indoor unit and outdoor unit cannot communicate). I found that the outdoor unit power board which gives 5v and 15v to the outdoor unit module board fails to fully power up.. The power Led starts to fade in incredibly slowly and the 5v and 15v power buses jump around like crazy and never reach their required voltage. I unplugged the module board from the power board and the power board powered up fine! It had a steady 5v and 15v out and the power LED came on instantly and Bright....
