    GT-30 shuts off and 8 blinks when vivid mode selected.

    Hello everyone, hope someone has some insight for my 2011, Panasonic GT30 TV. At least give me an idea where to look.

    Problem started with the 7 blink issue (would not power on), then I had replaced the SC board (bought a supposedly new board from a china supplier via ebay). when I replaced this board, the 7 blinks went away and the tv powered on - but with picture issues. the TV is working to some extent, all inputs work, however, the colors are quite intense making for a bad picture, and when I select vivid mode, the TV will shut down and give an 8 blink SOS. I can reset and repeat this. One other note, it appears that the 3d picture is OK (however, I do not have 3d glasses to confirm), but the over-saturation goes away in 3d mode. Also, the general color tests in the service mode appear to be fine. Basic text appears fine as well. Please let me know if you have any ideas, or direction on this. I have not checked any TP's yet, rather taken the board swap approach. Thanks.

      Don't have any ideas at the moment but can we get photos of the image issues, and the boards installed , preferably closeups with the sc,sd,su set and then the other side of the SS.

          Also if you have the old board still there's a place that does rebuilds. Could be worth sending both boards, 1 for repair and the other they may run up for you and confirm if it's good or not.

          the other question is did you get the exact same revision board? I have a feeling someone had some unusual image issues and in the end they had the wrong board.

          So the more detailed info you can give , like model, photos of both boards also showing the part numbers and there's normally a white sticker, also has the full part number.

          Plus a photo of the display fault.

              Did you ever fix your issues with the bad color? Also, what was the VS voltage on white screen?

                      Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.

                      Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...

                      Hello,

                      I have a Samsung DM32D display.
                      When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.

                      Here’s what I have tried so far:
                      1. Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
                      2. Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
                      3. Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.

                      From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...

                      Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
                      Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

                      Board number is DAG3EDMB8D0​

                      SO i turn the laptop on , and as soon as it starts booting from disk, from usb, windows,linux,HBCD,anything i boot it just turns off....while in bios menu or in linux boot menu it stays on normally...It's like when it starts to use graphics it shuts down...But i measured 0.72V while working on the GPU power line,no excess heat is comming from GPU or CPU, i even removed the heatsink and turned the laptop on and everything worked fine, got a bit hot, fan span to full speed, but it worked like that for few minutes in bios...

                      Does anyone have an idea of what might be the issue with my 3050 micro? I have tried replacing new cmos battery but still the same

                      I am not sure if its the powersupply that I'm using is the issue since its the original powersupply. its a laptop powersupply with the same specifications with the 3050 micro so i guess it should be fine.

                      i also tried replacing the bios but with no avail, everytime i try another bios it gives a different blinking lights

                      Any recommendation on what I have to do next? Thanks in advance
