Not likely, more likely to be the circuit that drives the transformer or the power supply that supplies the power to the drive circuit. I am curious about the missing -15V and not sire if it is related to the problem we are having with the inverter circuit or not, I need to look through the service manual to see what is going on and see if there is any explanation on how the error is generated.

Re12_GND should be 0V because it is the GND return for the +12V.

Whatever happened was gradual at first. The set would play for days and then shut down after it was unplugged for a while it would play again. Now it won't even power the backlight.

I should be able to measure the output of the transformer somewhere

Not at the output of the Inverter transformer, it is in the 2000VAC range.

Ok the fluke I'm using is only good for 1K volts

There is a PNP transistor Q6600 on the input. Could I take a reading on the emitter leg? It goes to 4 on one of the winding legs on the transformer.

So earlier I disconnected the power cable going to the inverter board and attempted to take a measurement on HV1 terminal 2. There was nothing there (luckily) I guess. So should I assume that the transformer isn't working?

Or the Transformer is not being driven which is more likely.

I replaced the PS board and that fixed it. I'm going to continue troubleshooting the old PS board to see if I can repair it.
