Samsung Un75f7 100 top screen dark

Before I crack this thing open has anyone encountered any issues with this model yet? It doesn't appear the panel itself is having an issue but it's very dark on the top it looks like the backlighting is having a problem on the top left and right side about a quarter of the way down the screen. Any thoughts?

The panel seems to have perfect refresh it's just darker on the top

Not that i have any real experience with these but with the sole 55" LED edgelit D6000 series I tinkered with I'd say you're on the money. With mine it had a 4 channel edgelit system but being in series any dead LED caused the bank to fail and that produced endless reboots due to the fault detection.

I did manage just for the hell of it to link across the dead section and it ran fine for about 10hrs but the voltage across fewer LEDs just burnt them out

When I stripped it, sure enough there were dead LEDs on the top channel so I'd say there's a fair chance that's what you have except it's happy running on the remaining 3/4 channels.

Taught me one thing, stick with my trusty old tech Panny Plasmas

I think you are spot on with the top bank led out. Now I just have to muster up the courage to remove this 75 inch panel!

And yes, my Panny,s are not going anywhere either!

Ok sure enough they pulled the back off and there's two Bank of LED drivers on the power supply the whole top bank connector I can unplug and it does not change. Looks like I'll be removing the panel.

          Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
          by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
          by Rozp
          Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
          by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Samsung UN75RU7200FXZA - Right 1/3 Portion of Screen Dark
          by Topcat
Set from 2019.....sad this is all they last anymore. Ok, obviously a backlight problem. From what I understand there are 3 strips in these, mounted vertically....one seems to be bad. The image is present behind the darkness, not a LVDS or TCON issue.

This TV is a beast. I can't even manhandle it by myself, let alone try and lift the screen out to restrip it.....but I haven't even gotten this far yet....I can't seem to find strips for it.

I found a set for the UN75RU7100FXZA but not the 7200.
