ERC inductor soldering looks OK

Fault will prolly be the plasma panel itself.

They age, and as they do exhibit patches of mal-discharge according to manufacturing tolerances between the glass panels and the cell structure/electrode surfaces....

Not a lot can be done. Its all down to poor design/manufacture. Maybe a shitty letter to samsung--but doubt it'll do any good at all.

It is due to panel degradation but as I have found on Pioneer sets it can be adjusted if these settings are exposed. A friend's PDP-LX5090 had pink banding and all that ultimately needed adjustment was the ERC timing. Samsung obviously got the calibration algorithm wrong, so as the panel ages it drifts too far. A shame, because I've never seen Panasonic make this mistake, and the Pioneer issue was just due to the previous owner resetting the set needlessly.

Inductors don't cause this fault on these Samsung sets, at least not seen any cases of it.
You're kind of stuck because Samsung doesn't support much tweaking unlike Pioneer sets.
You can't swap ribbons around, and anyway I doubt it would make any difference.
Perhaps all you can do is adjust Cell Light to reduce these artefacts, this will also dim the panel somewhat.

I have gone right off Samsung! I really used to think they were good maybe they have gone down hill over the last 10 years?

So no way I can diagnose the screen any further not got much to loose at this point?

I did see a thread on another forum where someone was experimenting with some of the many settings in the service menu with an element of success with pink banding.

Im clutching at straws!

If I were going to try "anything" I'd think about pulling (desolder if possible) one or two ER inductors off to move the resonance point. Full disclosure - this will put additional stress on the board and could lead to early failure.
