Now that ModusLink has closed its doors where do we get Main boards repaired.

I have the same board trying to fix too.. My board has not signs of life no red led stand by. That's why I'm try to figure out how test the board to fix and I posted a thread here no one answered. But From what other forums I have read the IC5000 just above the processor takes the 5v stand by and makes the 3.3v for the motherboard without it the board well not power up. I would download the service manual its helping on the test points for volts.
So I'm try to replace the IC5000 see was happens. -

Often it seems those BGA chips fail, not something anyone here really has messed with or had much success with . modus was a good option , a real shame they stoppedComment

Okay now I understand why no ones been repairing this motherboard. My motherboard is missing 3.3v so I'm going change the ic5000 once it gets here.
I have not tried reballing a chip yet because I don't want to test it on any of my motherboards. I guess its time to buy some old computer video card and motherboard for reballing test.

Hello everyone, my old but loved LG GR-642 stopped cooling and frosting all together.
The display shows everything as normal, the focused cooling activated when I open the doors but the compressor wont start.
First I measured the terminals on the compressor at the back of the fridge. 0 volts.
Now I disconnected the compressor and measured resistance on its leads: around 8 ohms.
I dissassembled the main powerboard, couldn't find anything suspicious but I noticed that the comps relay wont send voltage to the pin, while Fan H and fan L is indeed at 230V.... -

I got this VCR in compensation and well, It wouldn't be fun If I didn't f*** something up doors that won't close completely was easy fix.
I was thinking that someone who messed with VCR before me didn't screw all the way this screw(see picture), but later I found out that this screw is suppost to be like that smh... and now after I clean head and everything I got this kind of situation on video (see videos)

When I originally started with my DVR recorder it had 4 individual switching switching power supply’s that were sh*t so I bought a 7 amp 12 volt switching power supply and modified the output plug and put a four output power supply cable to match the input power supply cable inputs
Which worked for over 14 years until a few days ago when the cameras went dark no picture anymore well it turns out now the switching power supply has stopped working altogether now so I have to troubleshoot what has happened to this power supply more later on today what I found

Hello! My girlfriend and I tried to set up her Commodore 64 today. Tried the living room TV and couldn't get a signal, so... we hooked up the CRT monitor, and the moment that she plugged the RCA video connection into the monitor, with a switched off C64 mind you, the lights dimmed and magic smoke was released.
Still don't know what happened.
Good news is the monitor will still power on, but doesn't take video inputs. I'm trying to get the board out to see where the magic smoke came from (video input is all the way at the front of the board).
I need someone...
