    LG mu-42pz15

    Hi Guys,

    First off I need to say that I have very little experience or knowledge when it comes to electronics repairs so I apologize in advance if I ask questions that might seem a little stupid.

    I have an LG mu-42pz15 plasma TV that I'm working on. I heard a loud pop and the screen went completely blank. This happened a before back in 2008 and I paid a technician to repair it. The technician explained to me at the time that the y-sus needed to be replaced and that if it ever happened again I could easily replace it myself. So I went ahead and ordered a new ysus and installed it but my screen is still blank. I tried scrolling through the menu and nothing, still completely blank. Any idea where I should go from here?

      CH341a can erase and read but can't write and blank check

      So I am trying to repair broken thunderbolt FW on X1 Yoga Gen 2. The EEPROM chip is WINBOND 25Q80DVNIG. I already do a back-up and erase. But when I try to wrote new FW, it was successfull, but when I tried to read it, it still blank. when I try to do a blank check, it gave me instant error in address 0. I already tried two CH341A, already did the 3.3v fix mod, using AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, Colibri, and CH341A 1.29. But the problem still occurred. What I did wrong here? Can anyone help me?       LG 60PV450 Possible Bad YSUS Need help confirming Diagnosis

      I have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

      LG 42PC3 buffer output doesn't follow YSUS

      LG42PC3D -UD originally with green lamp but no display or audio.
      Owner says was working, then went 'pop'.
      All 5V caps bulging. replaced.
      All PSU output voltages within spec but -Vy is low on YSUS.
      One of three parallel fets between SUS_OUT and SUS_DN is zenering,
      eventually shorts DG. Replaced all 3 - -Vy now OK.

      Y scan buffer test point does not follow YSUS output below -50V

      Note: This unit seems to expect YSUS output to park at -Vy in between
      drive signal pattern periods. A replacement drive signal board confirms this....

      Hi,

      Found an Funai 32FL553P/10 TV on sale for cheap listed as broken, so I decided to give a shot at reparing this.

      State I got it in:
      Squealing from the PSU
      After logo I get a blank screen
      After 10 seconds of having a blank display w/ backlight the TV dies
      Give it 7-10ish seconds again and it starts to bootloop.

      What I did so far:
      Replaced all the caps on the PSU (apart from primaries, they were fine and none at hand)
      Checked all voltage rails:
      5VSB - 4.8V
      AMP+13V - 14.4V
      13V - 12.98V (in manual 12V)...

      Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor - Works For A Second & Then Blank Display

      I've got a Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor that works for a moment and then the display goes off but the power LED indicator remains on. If you power it off and back on again it does the same thing, it comes on and then the display goes blank. From a cold start it takes 10 seconds or so before the display goes blank but if you turn it off and then back on again after it already being on it goes blank a lot quicker so I'm assuming something is getting hot which is causing the display to go off.
