I can tell you now that solder job isnt the best. Apply flux make sure your ion is at max then redo them solder joints bud to make sure its not that.

IF you are trying to repair an IPM that had Shorted devices, then the Driver-Chips and dual-transistor pairs will--Probably--be faulty also.

Diodes don't normally fail. 30F131 aint ideal replacement--Isnt Strong Enough...

So--Replace the Driver Chips(IC1) And the tiny Dual-Transistor pair, (IC3,4) as well as the two IGBTs with ones rated at 330V and 350A.

Better still--just buy a replacement IPM!

--These J017/8C/E IPM's fail in two ways. They go Short Or more often I find go Intermittent causing flashing screen.

I dont bother trying to repair a Shorted one--Too much else blows as well as IGBT's--chuck it and start again! Try UTSOURCE or fleabay.

Ones that are intermittent/flashing Can be repaired by replacing the IGBT's. Too much work, hassle and no guarantee of repair trying with shorted IPM!

Well done for attempting a repair though I normally would never bother. Best to buy a replacement Ipm mate.

Would you be able to tell me please what's better in the long-term, replacing the MOSFETs with IGBTs, or purchasing a new hybrid module altogether?

And are the newer hybrids sold any better quality-wise than the ones that came stock with the plasmas?

                  Thanks

They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

I thought the concensus was these were long out of production and no longer available new unless old stock. Unless a shipping container full of these was found on the bottom of the Pacific ocean ?
