    Philips 32PFL3605H/12

    hello , I have strange problem with this TV, I cant find channels

    I connect antenna and I do automatic search and nothing.

    no digital channels
    no analog channels

      updated new firmware but still doesnt find anything

          If all other Inputs are working then your problem seem to be the TUNER. Inspect the Main Bd where the tuner is soldered. Maybe you may see a broken or cold soldered joint nearby. Also check to see if the tuner is getting supply voltage. Might just be an open resistor or somethin minor....Regards

              thank you andrew,I resoldered every pin on tuner and I find 24 free digital channels

                      one more problem with this tv, I must turn on about 20 times tu get picture, backlight not turning on,I replaced caps on power board but still get this problem.

                              Hello everyone,

                              I have a rather strange problem with this Philips I just repaired.
                              The set came with startup problems, I checked the PSU, found some puffed caps, replaced them and now it is starting perfectly.

                              According to the philips website this tv should be equipped with a tripple tuner.
                              However there is no option to scan for satellite channels in the menu.
                              It only shows the option to search for DVB-T or DVB-C channels.
                              The set is equiped with the F-type connector in the back so to me it looks like it is indeed equipped with a Sat tuner....

                              Dear Electronics Experts:

                              I have the following problem I am trying to troubleshoot. Unfortunately, I have contacted Anthem themselves and even a local distributer but I am not having much luck. Also, I have scoured the internet and unable to obtain a service manual. The Anthem service rep has also replied that he is unable to provide me with any service documentation. I have performed numerous searches on the internet and cross-referenced a few other AV receiver makers (Denon, Marantz, Onkyo) and found certain similarities to block diagram...

                              I can hear Fred Sanford now...."YOU BIG DUMMY".....I pulled the "F" connector out of the tuner by accident. The tuner number is BN40-00248B. Low and behold I had a scrap board with tuner number BN40-00248A. Although the tuner is different (according to Encompass.com) it's footprint on the board is exactly the same as the 248B so I decided to de-solder the tuner off the scrap board to see what I was getting in to.

                              As you can see in the picture the terminals and solder pads are super small. No matter what I tried I could not get either the terminals or support...

                              Hello, guys!

                              The same 32" Philips TV I was having video issues, but now I don't have standby led at all. Someone here shared with me the schematic of the power supply, and checking the voltages, I see right after the resistor R604 I'm getting 1.6 v which is too low for enabling the Gate of the Q601 mosfet (the diagram says 4.2). On the R614 resistor I'm getting 181 V in and 117 V out, then through R603 I'm getting the same 117 V in and 59.9 V out, finally getting the latter voltage in the R604 BUT getting just 1.6 V out, which is the voltage that goes on to the Gate of the Q601...
