Hi, I've just this tv in for repair. Turn the TV on and get a red standby light. I press the power on from the remote. The TV turns on and HDMI comes up in the left hand corner for a second. The a small display pops up saying 'No signal for current input. Try other available inputs'. I try to use the remote but nothing happens. When you touch the buttons on the tv it shuts down. I tried VGA and scart and its the same. So i'm 90% sure its the main board that's fault. I tried heating up the board but that didn't work. Then I read about changing the HDMI controller IC should fix it. I had no idea what I was looking for, until yesterday when on a video a guy pointed it out. So I took out the chip today and turned on the TV. It was the same fault. Does that mean I am right? The chip reads LGE40RC-LF, A5MFF90B, 1135B. Problem is I can't anywhere to buy a replacement chip, except China! Any ideas if I am right about the chip and about sourcing parts in the UK. Thanks.
