toshiba 40bv700b remote control issues

hi everyone had a few caps blown on the powerboard a while ago replaced them all was good but now the remote wont work to change channels etc ,ive changed remotes batterys and checked that the ir is working using my phone camera ive even replaced the ir reciever in the tv but it wouldnt work so ive been using the buttons on the tv i moved the tv as i was painting and when it was put back and used the remote worked for a short time a few minutes then stopped working again any ideas to solve this issue? thanks

I would at least try another remote or Universal remote first.
