    Insignia NS-50LA440NA14

    Hi folks,

Thanks for you help in advance. First post, obvioulsy for this problem, but will stick arround to learn stuff about fixing my own electronic (just got a new place with a basement when I'll be able to do my diy/soldering/fixing/etc).

My tv was bought in 2013. Out of warranty of course.
50 inch, 120hz, insignia, cheap, I guest I know why: have a look at the pictures.

So I did my own research and I'm not sure I'm able to pinpoint the problem to the tcom, mainboard or panel itself.

    About the pictures/issue:
It showed up on a boot one day and never changed since that day. Present on all sources. (coax, hdmi, ect).

The top horizontal line of the panel now shows what should be at the bottom (and some of the lines in thoses seem not right).

On the bottom of the top 1/3 of the panel there is also 2-3 horizontal line that seem to match some of the color around it.

By the look, it would suggest that all the horizontal lines are OK but NOT the at the right "place" ("place"= horizontal placement).. if it makes sens to you.

    Parts:
    That's all I found (main board?) : https://www.partstore.com/Model/Best...earchTerm=True

    THANKS ALL!

Note: apologies I initially posted this request for help in the wrong forum! I am reposting it here and will take down the original posting.

    Hi Everyone,

I've been working on repairing this beautiful CRT monitor off and on for the past several months and I'm really at a loss for what might be causing the problem.

Unlike other common Horizontal Deflection issues which result in a steady vertical line, when I turn the monitor on, there is a pulsing (somewhat segmented) vertical line. I've attached a photo that shows the issue (difficult to capture without video)....

Insignia plasma n2-42p650a11 black horizontal lines
    by jmandawg
Hi I picked this up on the side of the road. It has black horizontal lines on the display. It's it repairable?

I looked for bulging caps but didn't see any.

    Thanks...

Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN - vertical and horizontal stripes across the screen
    by kotel studios
    Hi,

Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)

In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....

Insignia NS-LCD019-09 issue: Power light turns blue for 3 seconds, the flashes red before going solid read again

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...
