Hello everyone...question is in regards to replacement capacitors I purchased on eBay. (Yes I know now not to do that) Name of the eBay seller is diy-electronic-store.
Our TV is a Samsung LN46C530F1F, purchased in 2010. Typical symptoms of failing capacitors that progressively get worse until unplugging the set no longer works. The LED light would just blink 5 times and go off. The capacitors never bulged but when I pulled off the 4 main 1000uf caps, both the 10V capacitors were the only one with some capacitance left. The 25Vs were totally dead. I also replaced the 6 smaller ones just in case. (10 piece kit) All are supposedly genuine RUBYCON caps.
I've attached pics of the 4 replacement 1000uf RUBYCON caps; 3 are DOA already & 1 is defective after 6 days of use. From what I have seen of fake & real ones on the net, the ones I received looks legit. But lasting only not even a week has me wondering now.
Any other places here in the US that I can buy legitimate capacitors? Panasonic or another good brand perhaps? I read there are a few forum vendors but this is only my 2nd post. Any links would be greatly appreciated. I still feel there is a lot of life left in our TV; I'm pretty determined to fix it and make it last at least another 5 years.
Thank You!
