History: Samsung LN46C600 worked flawlessly with NO weird precursors (powering off unexpectedly, long powering cycles, etc.) -- one night the video just went dark/black. Audio remains clear. Unplugging the set for 24-hours and retrying did not resolve the problem.
This seems to be somewhat common as I found 5 BadCaps forum posts that appears similar to mine. From those I cobbled together a course of action.
Backlight Test: Here's where I got a little confused. There's this nugget in thread "Samsung LN46C600 audio but no pic"
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...light=LN46C600
"You can also remove the cable between the main board and the power supply/inverter board and then power up the TV, the backlights should come on right away (the power supply board has built-in pull-up resistors)."
I am not a schematic guy, so while I tried to follow it (thanks for the link by the way), I thought I would ask for clarification, In my uploaded image LN46C600_Main.png, is the cable referred to the one marked A in my diagram? Or is one of the others?
Once I perform this backlight verification test and assuming I get backlight on power up, does this indicate a problem with the CI818 capacitor mentioned in other posts?
Thanks for your input!

1) Flashlight Test: Performed in dark room and verified image is visible on screen under flashlight.
2) Removed back panel and performed visual inspection of major components. Other than dust, everything looked normal.
3) Performed visual inspection of caps (LN46C600_Cap_1.jpg and LN46C600_Cap_1.jpg). None appear to have any dimpling, raised tops or were "leaking" any goo/material.
4) Used my DMM to test fuses (F1 and F2 in LN46C600_PSU.png) -- both were good. As a sanity check, I keep a blown fuse in my kit as a control (I don't do this that often).
