Just took apart a Sharp Sharp LC-15AV6U LCD TV to fix the broken cable connector, and it has all Rubycon and UCC caps. I was quite suprised, given the reputation of LCD sets to be cheaply made.
Though the case is still quite cheap... The LCD panel and boards are just sitting in the front bezel and are secured only by the back panel.

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
