Re: LG 50PA4500 dark grey with black horizontal lines(bottom)

    Two possibilities:
    - Loose ribbon cable for that part of the panel
    - Bad plasma panel... damage to ribbon cable due to mis-placement of the plastic nubs on the frame (design flaw of the PA & PM series LG plasmas.)
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

      Thank you,

      for reply so fast!

I'm not able to open the connector for this ribbon cable. The plastic to open up is broken.
I don't understand why the standby led stays red and i can't remote it?
Could you help me to understand?

      sorry for my English

From what i read if the test patterns operate then the mainboard would be suspect which would explain why you have no control. If you can't operate the latch to reseat and latch that bottom ribbon correctly then you'll have to source a replacement buffer.

Those lines do look like a typical poorly seated panel ribbon to buffer connection

During the test paddern the psu goes klicking. Disconnecting the ysus stops klicking.

So i stop trying to repair. I think the price to repair it, is to high.

          Thank you for helping!

70LE660U dark cloud or black screen with sound.
            by Rozp
            Hello Everyone,

This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.

I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area....

            Sharp LC-60LE741E - Horizontal Bands / Stripes
            by Strudul
I have a strange problem that appeared suddenly on my SHARP LC-60LE741E 60” LCD television. It has 22 evenly spaced horizontal grey stripes over the entire area of the screen. The stripes only effect dim areas of an image. Blacks are still purely black, and anything brighter than 40% is unaffected. Bright outdoor scenes are fabulous. Dark low contrast scenes ... like all CGI on Netflix are unbearable. It's like your looking through dirty venetian blinds. The grey bars appear above any slightly dark colors. If you look closely, you'll see that there are white pixels mixed in with the correct...

Sony KDL-50W685A horizontal black lines Pattern
            by Raulnn
good morning! I have a problem with this Sony. The image has a pattern of black horizontal lines, I attach a photo of the lines. The power supply is external and emits a sound. I don't think it's because of that. Let's see if someone can help me.

Fixing an I-Inc IF281D for the 3rd time, now with added flickering!
            by DrvLikHell
Hello everybody! It's been nine years and I'm back again with the same monitor that several people here helped me fix back then. The first time, I replaced two caps as was recommended here and the original problem was solved. Then it started acting up a few years later and I came back for a parts list and replaced a few more caps (I didn't make a post about that and don't remember which ones), and again the problem was solved. This time, however, I'm not sure if it's caps.

The monitor stays on but certain colors will flicker. Generally it's darker colors like dark greys or dark blues,...
