    Yuk! Roaches inside TV

I picked up a TV yesterday off Craigslist, opened it up today and saw a damn roach running on the power supply. He looked like he was in a maze as he dodged diodes and caps. He ran down into the screen before I can get him.

This TV is now baking out in the hot FL sun hoping to burn them out. Anyone know a solution for getting rid of these without damaging anything?

Burn the house down. Claim on the insurance it was an accident.

Ok more seriously it's probably in there because it's warm or damp so try removing both of those conditions. We don't have many roaches in this country, but most insects are similar.

Oh, and contact the seller to negotiate biohazard cleanup costs. If they refuse, kindly return the roach to their possession.

Acer Nitro XV273 and Predator XB273, look inside and disassembly guide.
      by Flaku_34
      Introduction:
Hello everyone, this topic is more of a knowledge sharing and look inside type of post, but for someone working on this model of display it might be useful. Recently I bought Acer Nitro XV273 XB MIIPRZX with busted electronic, but screen was intact, price was incredibly low, so I took a gamble and bought the unit and try to fix it. As I dug inside, I found out that my motherboard was not responding, although all voltages seemed fine. I wasn't able to find any reliable information about this monitor on the web (only some pictures of motherboards from Ebay). By some research...

Topcat's Supermicro X10DAI Build - Plus NVMe BIOS Mod Inside
      by Topcat
Yes, I know I don't post this stuff much anymore....the only reason I'm posting this one is because of a NVMe adapter incompatibility; seems rather planned by Supermicro.....or I'm atleast a bit suspicious. It's plenty new enough to have a UEFI bios but a short 'happy list' of NVMe controllers that will work with this board, as if by some 'miracle', all Intel....so lets start at the beginning; we'll get back to this later.

Of course the motherboard is as the thread title states; X10dai....but we'lre going to have some fun shoehorning this into a modern 'gamer case' that can actually...

Help with trying to fix phone that is not charging (Pics inside)
      by SluggerB
I have two TCL A30 phones.

Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....
