    You mean the 2 Ferrite slug on the power board where I repaired the coils. If they were damaged how would I know? What effect would it have?

      It will not have the same inductance, the problem is that we do not know what the spec of the inductor is, but you may be able to see high frequency AC ripple on the output side of that pi filter if it is not working.

        I have no way to test that. I am guessing I will need an expensive tester like one of those with the screen on them that shows the graph or wave form. Not ready to buy one of them yet.
