SONY KDL-40V3000 very poor image

Hi, Guys,

See attached a few pics of the screen on my neighbours SONY KDL-40V3000, he just rushed over as he was going to watch cricket , I was thinking Tcon?

Am I right? if so should I replace or are they easy to fault find?

T-con probably AS15-F gamma IC (T-con is likely to be expensive!)
