I'm having a "stuck pixel" issue on an out-of-warranty Samsung PN51D490A1D. It appears as though two pixel-wide vertical rows (separated by one working vertical row) are "stuck" or missing a color field. The issue presented itself one day and did not get better or worse for months. I ended up picking up another TV around the holidays but would like to attempt to fix this if it were a feasible thing to do.
I tried disconnecting every ribbon cable and cleaning them with isopropyl alcohol (a few times) with no luck. I'm mostly just wondering if this is for sure a panel issue, or if a certain board tends to fail. It seems like board failures present symptoms far worse than this, but electronics repair isn't exactly my specialty so I only know what I've read thus far (which has been far more people with issues than solutions.)
Any thoughts? I read this thread about running the diagnostics, and have to dig a jumper out of my box of spare computer parts, but I thought that starting a thread in the meantime would be helpful in case it's an "obvious" panel issue.
Pics from another forum from a user with the same issue are posted below.
