    Toshiba 46ZF355D - Dead

    Hello,

I bought this TV as faulty, apparently not powering up.

I've not yet tried it, but took the back off, nothing seems visibly failed.

However, the one thing that amazed me was the sheer build quality of the thing - not only does it weigh around 17 metric tonnes (OK, perhaps slightly less), but seems built to a high standard.

Dedicated audio amp board, decent sized speakers, Rubycon main caps.

    Some (poor) images below:

Obviously, the first thing is going to be to clean everything up and start metering, but has anyone seen failures on this PSU before?

    Cheers!

I never know the level of experience of the op, so I always warn about the HIGH VOLTAGE from power supply and the y and s boards too, I think, not too familiar with plasmas, but I'd start with checking any fuses you find, F=fuse, I start with power supply, then maybe see if you have your 5v standby voltage.

See those white connectors? each pin has label, so list each pin name and the DCV readings of each pin when TV is plugged in but power switch not activated and when the power switch is activated.
