    Dead Hitachi Plasma P50X902

Problems started a few months ago when a vertical line started appearing. Not visible during some screen colors/movements. A second line appeared about a month later. Two weeks after that the TV died. Power cycled and it would flash and a brief sound would come out then the blue power light would flash (five times). TV was re-set and re-powered and same flash and blue flashing. Protection mode I guess. I pretty sure the Hitachi heard me ordering a new Samsung while it was working and decided to die early.
OK, pulled the rear cover and snapped a few photos, inspected the caps and surprisingly did not find any bulging caps? Checked the only fuse I could find (on the PSC)
Inspected the buffers and did not see any obvious failures.
I'm going to start testing for shorts on the PSC tomorrow, then test for shorts on the buffer boards.
    Hitachi P50X902 (2008 vintage)
    Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
    by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

Thinkpad t480s, completely dead after BIOS flash using CH341A programmer
    by what_1282105
Following this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/co...g_and_flashing) i re-flashed my t480s BIOS using an external (CH341A) programmer. The flash didnt work, so i reverted back to my BIOS backup successfully. The BIOS in the chip and the BIOS backup file are identical according to windows' file compare. The revert, however, didnt work: the only thing the computer does is flash the power button 3 times when AC power is connected. I've tried unplugging the CMOS battery, holding the reset button and holding down the power button- no signs of life....

Dead Panasonic Viera TX-P65STW50 Plasma TV
    by badcappo
Hello, got a ST50 plasma TV for repair. No signs of life, not even blink codes. Opened it up to check the power supply, type MPF6914. Apparent issues from visual detection and measuring for shorts:
    Diode type G972s6 - D101 with a short
    Mosfet 06N90E - Q301 shorted
    Fuse T5AH 250V - F103 blown
    Diode D301 shorted
    Relay DG1U-17VDC II - RL001 blown

I have not found a circuit diagram. Maybe someone here already dealt with a similar issue? Thanks for tips where else to check 😀...

    Samsung PLASMA PN50B530S2F DEAD
    by Super360
Hi everyone I have this plasma here that has no standby light and is completely dead. I opened it up to see extremely dirty and dusty to which I cleaned but made no difference. So I checked all fuses good. I checked the standby voltage 5 volts good. Then I did that plasma control board test by shorting the pins(THANKS 2 TVTIMMY) and the tv actually turned on and made a sound. Does this mean I need a new motherboard?...
