vizio VA370M HDMI Ports do not work

I am helping a friend with his tv

He says all of the hdmi ports stopped working
He tried connecting different devices and nothing works
The audio video inputs work

There was no power surge or lightning that caused any damage

He unplugged the set and re plugged it to the power outlet to reset the tv

He will be bringing the tv to me next week so I will be able to post pics of the set after I open it up

I was hoping maybe someone already knows what the problem is before I order a main board
I did a search for this problem on here but I didn't find anything

HDMI Ports are what's commonly damaged from power surges. The HDMI chip or memory are usually affected. Next to that the Main CPU would be suspect

So is it safe to just buy the main board?

Or how do I test the hdmi chip?

Buy a main board. I doubt you can find the right chip and get it swapped off the board. I don't say it can't be done, as I do reflows myself, but not everyone can do that.
