tw2005 is right. I am just a beginer but know you have to have the voltages present. In my case Vs was supossed to be 209vdc and when powered on it would come up and then drop off rapidly. These folks here on the forum know their stuff and have taught me a lot. Live and learn, only way to be.

Re confirmed the voltages and left the unit on for a min or so past the SAMSUNG tones...

Voltage held steady on both X and Y at 211v with minor fluctuation to 212v now and again..

good you got vs voltage. does that match close with printed sticker on back plate? sticker should be mounted to metal back where boards are screwed on. have you checked va and ve?

Yea, sticker shows VS 210v, so that checks..

There is a VA that shows 55v and that checks on the Y-Main...

There is a Ve that shows 88 and a Vsc that shows -193 on the sticker, but I can't find those designations on the X and Y connectors.

There IS a Vg on the X-Main connector which shows 15.37v

If I remember correctly, vsc is on a test point on the y main board. maybe someone else can guide you further. looks like you have proper voltages so far. make sure all all cables and connectors are properly plugged in. I have found myself not doing that.

ve should also be on y main board if it is similar to my samsung.

Yea, I have taken off every board and every cable and then replaced them...

There IS a Vsched pad and a Vscan pad on the Y-Main but I am not real thrilled about testing them if I don't have to..

But the Ve/88v designation is no where to be found.. Unless the Ve=Vg and, in that case, the voltage is WAY off...

On the X-Main, the Vg voltage is 15.37v and on the Y-Main, Vg is also 15.37v...

Have a read and see if these help. I'd check and find all of those voltages and if they are good then maybe it's a bad logic board or panel (maybe) , Someone may know a bit more with these samsungs. probably be a bit quiet for help over christmas / new year though.

may not match your model exactly but the principles should help

It's on the X-MAIN and it's a free-standing pad.. Nothing to wedge on to..

Was just about to tell you, just probe it with respect to gnd. You are using a proper meter with insulated probes?

OK, I survived!!

I had the wife plug the unit in while I held the probe on Ve...

Checked out.. 88v solid and steady..

So, to sum up.. All the voltages on the X-Main and Y-Main are as they are displayed on the sticker...

Thanx for all the help to date.. It's a lot easier to gin up the courage to check voltages when I have smart people helping

When you did the Logic board forced operation test, was the white ribbon(LVDS) that goes from the main board to the logic board disconnected? try it again .

Yep, it was disconnected.

I ran another test..

I disconnect the Main Board completely from the unit.

1 and 5 Pin jumpered on the 24-pn connector and 3 and 4 jumpered on the 4-pn jumper block on the Logic Board.

When I plug in the unit, I get the click-click of a relay, the LED on the Logic Board blinks steady and absolutely nothing comes up on the screen..

Yep, it was disconnected.

I ran another test..

I disconnect the Main Board completely from the unit.

1 and 5 Pin jumpered on the 24-pn connector and 3 and 4 jumpered on the 4-pn jumper block on the Logic Board.

When I plug in the unit, I get the click-click of a relay, the LED on the Logic Board blinks steady and absolutely nothing comes up on the screen..

if all the voltages are present and normal, it may be worthwhile gambling on a logic board if not too expensive. anything in those guides to help confirm bad logic?
