Hello

Got this tv today totally dead anyone fixed this model before ?

Ok change that I now standby light then press the power button the back light comes on but restarts to standby light then backlight comes on but restarts again over and over

Try unplugging the backlight LED driver, see if it still does the power cycling.

Unplugged the cable that goes along side the lvds cable leading to the panel and the tv is working fine

They don't usually put useless cables in a TV so you should find out what that cable does. Maybe it controls backlight brightness and the TV will work at low brightness levels but not at high ones for example...

I would tom but now I just have blue standby light and no backlight ....hmmm

Sounds u intermittent. Try checking PSU outputs in particular the stand by rail.

There seems to be more faults it takes me about 6 clicks of the power button for the tv to get it to turn blue
so far with no backlight now voltages on the psu are

24v =23.5 volts
12v =12.2 volts
ps-on = 4.3 volts
5v = 4.9 volts

eeprom prob me thinks,
been there done that, give up.

been searching around seems there are eeprom faults with this main board
would a corrupt eeprom cause this problem im having ?

oh yes, i had a JMB, and the stand by light would come on for 15 seconds and go out,
then another time it would stay on for longer, and i would be able to turn the tv on,
these tv's are made/supplyd by sky media,along with other so called brands, and all seem to suffer with eeprom probs.
i've had a look on there site for an update for your set, but there is none.
i replaced my eeprom with a BAIRD eeprom, and the tv now works, but the buttons on the tv was wrong, so had to swap wires around, also can't find a remote to work it at all,

Eeprom's are for sale? You could try to replace it?

Thanks guys I have found a replacement board cheaper than the eeprom so ill try that first thanks

Changed the eeprom tv booted up straight away and working
