Panasonic TC-P50C2 Ten Blinks of Death

Hello all. I have a Panasonic Plasma TC-P42C2 that stopped working. The unit displays only the 10 red blinks of death.

I have tried holding the power button for 10-20 seconds, dusting off/vacuuming the boards inside.

I have unplugged the SS board, turned it on, 10 blinks.

I have unplugged the SC board, turned it on, 10 blinks.

I have unplugged the SS and SC boards, turned it on, 10 blinks.

Any help on what I should do next would be helpful and appreciated

So is it 42 or 50 inch, you quote both? Try this, disconnect sc2(sn2), ss11, p35, 3 white ribbons at the A board, turn on and see if still 10 blink, don't run it more than 30sec, don't reconnect sc2,ss1,p35 straight away or residual voltages can damage boards or panel. leave for a while, 15min should be fine.
report back. If still 10, check SD card slot for foreign objects or damage, from there it'll be either p or A boards.

sounds like Sc board, although you had sc2 an ss11 disconnected, am I correct in saying you had SC20 ribbon still connected when you first started isolating and still had 10 blink?

Nope, I only disconnected the power connectors, no ribbons until you suggested I take out the 3 white ribbons on the main board.

So the answer is Yes, i still had ribbon connected at Sc20.

On that P5V and P15v are sent to the SC board from the A, so one of those is low ohms.

SC20 ribbon removed, at the Sc board

(next to Sc20)measure TP82 - gnd(also reverse probes for both readings Ohms)

Measure across C561(nearby) ( both directions) or TP16,17 - gnd for the 5V rail ( expect 5.6k ohms)

Ok so I'm breaking out my meter. I'm looking on the board for 2 points, TP82 and ground? With SC20 ribbon removed, all other cables in your earlier post are still unplugged? Sorry this is not my area of expertise

No prob, but it's fun learning. I knew SFA 2 years ago, now i can repair my own SC at component level.

You will also have to check the SD/Su for shorts before installing the new board, just in case or a bad buffer set can blow the new board. I'd do it before you send the SC off just in case they are expensive or unobtainable.

SO your board repaired will be the princely sum of $46.17 or $85 for a board from Shopjimmy ( they have only 1 !), Like a lot of SC boards now, hard to find and expensive used, I'd go repair.

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

                        Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
                        by jm1234
                        Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

                        Hi,...

I am just triying to fix this Panasonic. I will tell what I have done until now.

I have checked the SN BOARD and I found some Transistors shorted and I changed them all.

At the same time I saw that the PSU is also broken as it blows the T4AH250V FUSE. So I will have to change the 2 R6015ANX MOSFETs, so I need to buy them on internet because here I could not find them

I am confused about fixing this Panasonic. What I know is that the SN BOARD is not in Shorted if I check the main source connector. I also checked all the connectors...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                        by Alicat
                        Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                        Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

                        Hello all,
As the title states, I followed the troubleshooting guide located here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/23...page=53#manual, which concluded the 'A' board needs to be replaced. Looking around the net and eBay, I see that there are repair services for the board (TNPH1043UE? Not sure if it is a 'UE' as the suffix grid does not appear marked). What additional troubleshooting can be performed to ensure 1) this board is the problem and 2) since there are repair services, what are they fixing on the board?) I expected 3.3V not to be available anywhere...
