LG 55LS4500UD No Picture

Hey everyone

i have a LG 55LS4500UD which stop working while i was watching tv blue lines show up and tv when blank sounds still comes in i could see the backlight on

i when i ahead an replace the t-con Board thinking it would fix the issue but nothing happen could this be a bad main board? or a is the display dead i dont want to keep wasting money on it if its a display issue

So is that picture what you see? Do you have a picture of the blue lines?

Details of your test equipment would help, for example do you have access to a digital multimeter and do you know how to use it?

no i dont have any test equipment with me

the blue line show up right in the middle prior to the set becoming like this

now when i power on the unit i only hear sound and this is what i get

To me, it sounds like a bad LCD panel.

Here's a test you can try. Unplug one of the ribbon cables going from the T-con to the bottom of the screen (the panel ribbon)

Does anything appear? Repeat with the other ribbon. (If there are four ribbons try with only one ribbon in at a time.)

when i unplug the t-con ribbon to the left shows white half with the other half showing blue lines

when i unplug the t-con ribbon to the right nothing happens

To me, this confirms bad (shorted) LCD panel. It would not be economical to repair. Sorry.
