Resetting the eeprom on the main board

I came accross this article about resetting the eeprom on the main board by connecting a wire accross two pins on the eeprom and then powering on the TV.
The article is for Samsung TV's and I'm wondering if it might work on this Vizio SV422XVT TV that I can't find parts for.
I'll quote the item I'm interested in below and attach a link to the full article.

"For resetting TV, settings, you needed to remove SoC EEPROM device from TV. But it's not required. In electronic world, if you disable communication of the chip, it counts as removed...
To do this, all you have to do that feeding (connecting) GND (ground) or VCC (3.3v) to SDA line with little wire... That's all.
Join VCC and SDA, power on TV and hold about for 20 seconds with the TV powered. It just try to read (wrong) settings from EEPROM, since it cannot read anything, just start with defaults."

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
    by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Sceptre U550CV-UMR 4K LED, Bad Caps on Main Power Board?
    by Dani_2024
Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

    93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM
    by SidneyCanadas
I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

    https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...c6e42b20d3.pdf 2

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
    by ygorsan
    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

    🧩 Problem Summary:
    • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
    • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
    • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

    Samsung QE65Q700TATXXC is not starting
    by K212
    Hi,

my Samsung QE65Q700TATXXC has stopped working recently. It worked fine during the morning, and when trying to start it later the same day it just refused to start.

The standby LED is working, but nothing happens when pushing the power button, other then the LED blinking once. No picture, no sound, no chime, no relay click. I tried a cold start, and other recommended fixes from Samsung. Nothing worked. Then i even tried to reflash the firmware, but nothing happened, not even flashing of the standby led etc.

I contacted Samsung support who said it is most...
