Hi People ,
Bought a Philips 42FD9944 for a very cheap price! ( To learn and repair for hobby ).
I did some research and i replaced ALL the capacitors in the power supply except the big blue ones , probably not necessary to replace all but just to make sure.
When i plug in the mains it goes automatically in standby and when i use the remote to turn it on i hear some clicks. The green led comes on and after 5/6secs it clicks and the led is blinking red.
Sometimes the green led stays on for a longer period ( Like 15 secs ) then it starts clicking again , stays green and then goes into the red blinking led.
1 out of 10 times the tv turns on and i get a picture.
I don't see any bulged capacitors on the Ysus/Xsus board and already tried a different main board/Tuner/Plasmascreen!
So the fault must be either in the Ysus/Xsus or still somewhere in the power supply?
I know its a "old" tv , but compared to tv's from 2014 this tv has so much components …its fascinating!
Anyone who can pin me in the right direction?
Thx people!
