    Lg LED 42lm580y-tc no picture

    Hello everyone

i have a 42" Led 42lm580y-tc with no picture and no sound (sound only works when playing Through direct audio in but i"m not sure it counts)

the TV had a small water damage incident before it stopped working as a few drops of water dropped on the top of the screen and fell all the way to the bottom , the TV worked for a little while and then stopped.

the red led blinks twice when powering it up.(but i wasn't able to find what that means in error code)
the backlight works fine but there is no picture or manu screen or sound.

the only place i found water damage was at the bottom on the left part (that i"m not sure how its called) that is connected with a ribbon to the T-con and with 3 ribbons to the LED screen (there are 2 of the one is called left and one is called right but they seem identical only assembled the other way around)

i checked all the fuses on the power board and they were fine.

i checked the logic board and it seems to have the 12v and 3.3v (vcc) in all the places i checked

the T-con gets the 12v when the tv is on

only problem that i was able to find is that one of the resistors at the bottom (R104) was severely damaged from the water damage and showed no resistance and also showed 5v on one pad but 0v on the other so i replaced it (poorly) and now passes on the 5V (also checked on the via that's after the pad and all looks fine)

this happened 3 months ago and i didn't have time to try to fix it because i also study and work part time and finally now i have a vacation.

i will attach the photos and if you need a better picture of anything please let me know and i will upload it asap .

also have the schematics if anyone is interested and i will attach it below

i can measure anything you"ll ask or replace almost any part on the board

thank you guys in advance :-)

Stagg sms12p audio amp has water damage
        by edugimeno
Hi! My friend just brought this audio amplifier/speaker fro his music band saying they realized its got no sound. Led powers up but there no sound at all
I opened it and found 3 board. 2 of them are for input plugs and potentiometers, and the other larger board has the amplifiers for 2 large speakers that it drives
There's also a large toroid transformer that feeds a lower voltage to the first 2 boards and a larger voltaje (36x2 rectified close to 100v) to the power board. The power board has the plugs for both speakers
There is only one signal wire connecting the first boards...

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage
        by Joel Ohana
        Hi,

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage. It doesn't turn on (white power light flashes when on button pressed), and the amber light flashes when plugged in.

        Symptoms:
        • Short detected – sparks appear when touching the charging port connection with board with a metal (even a multimeter probe).
        • Visible damage – after cleaning corrosion, I found 4 possibly burnt memory chips near PC3165, labeled UD5, UD6, UD7, and UD8.

What are my next steps to diagnose and possibly repair it without replacing the entire board? Any guidance would be greatly...

        A2141 820-01700 Water Damage L8504 Damaged, U3100/U3200 power cycles UB300/UB400 5V .25A
        by abajor
Like title says A2141 came in with Water Damage, customer desperately wants the data.

The actual water ingress doesn't appear too bad it sat for a day but was very dusty internally. I have no idea why L8504 was arced there is no apparent moisture there or around the LVDS cable; however, the LVDS to screen screw studs had popped off at some point and somebody tried securing it with kapton tape.

I had to create a micron wire pad jumper to reconnect the south side of the L8504 since the primary pad was blasted down to the vias.

That said after cleaning up the...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
        by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

        Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...
