      Re: LG 42PQ6000 plasma

In general it is not easily repairable.
There is a board on eBay for Β£45, maybe cheaper elsewhere.
If there are no lines or marks on the screen, it should be all that is necessary.
Note, you must use 42" 720p main board, you cannot use 50" 720p or 1080p main boards.

I know this post is super old, but I have this same issue, and I did the same steps here. Is it absolutely the mainboard? There's no other problem that could cause this? I will admit that I didn't measure the voltages, but the TV won't turn on, it is in standby, then power on clicks the relays, then they click off and it goes back to standby. It did run the tests perfectly, does this mean it's the same issue?

If the test patterns work fine then the issue is with the main board.

Hi, I know it's an old topic, but I still want to ask about my TV.
Purple maps began to appear in the picture, most in bright places.
              Maybe some fix? Thank you.

I would advise checking Vs, Va, -Vy, Vsc and Vzbias voltages are z all correct, especially Vs when a bright image is displayed. We have seen PSUs struggle to regulate Vs under high load.

Also run the test pattern mode

Hi, I have a similar problem with the same model tv, would you be able to tell me how I attach the resistors? Complete newbie on this sort if thing, do I just push them into the cable socket holes of the av board end or do I have to solder them on to the actual pins on the power board? I can only find 2 STBY 5V pins not 3. Thanks for your help.

Panasonic TH-50PX8EA Black screen, only relay clicks
                    by Rensiee
                    Hello,
I have been reading a few threads on here regarding Panasonic plasma tv's. I've found one thread which explains the same problem as mine, unfortunately the thread has not been completed.
I got a free tv (TH-50PX8EA) from a friend which shows no screen. When plugged in only one red light shows up and when pushing the ON button, the red LED turns of and will only turn on again when pressing the ON button again.

When plugging in the TV i hear two relays click fast and after a few seconds the third relay clicks.
I have measured the voltage in the VSUS line, which...

                    by KYBOSH

This found its way to my workbench this week.

                    Wired Wall Light Cam S100

The buyer thought he got a great deal but it turns out it was likely dead and the seller tried to get anything they could for it by passing it off on an unsuspecting buyer.
Rather than tossing it in the bin he gave it to me to play with as he knows how much I love to try to solve problems like these.

The camera portion of this device worked fine when powered via USB but when on the mains it would not work at all.
This reminded me of the eufy floodlight...

                    Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV
                    by ArMaaN376
                    Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
                    a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
                    c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

                    Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
                    by jm1234
                    Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
                    by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...
