Samsung "QE" series QE55Q70RATXXC Intermittant restart in "home mode".

    Dear all.
I'm a less knowledgable member who would appreciate some guidence.

I have a Samsung QE55Q70RATXXC that works perfectly in "shop mode" but in home mode it restarts, Intermittantly.
With intermittant I mean the TV can work perfectly for a week and suddenly start to restart. Before the restart it may reach different stages. Sometimes it restarts when the "QLED" start screen shows up and some thimes it restarts after hours, and everything in between.
When the restart occurs, the screen blacks out leaving a light area alomng the edges fading to black, from the black are of the screen to the edges, in a second or so.
With a flawless operation i shop mode I asssume no major HW issues like PSU or Panel etc.
In the service menu, the first message is "EER by empty version data".
Depending on when I enter the service menu I get a bit different results from the self tests.
While in the service menu I've also experience som "ghost actions". the tv jumps around the menu by it self. Don't know if "it" managed to make any changes.
Visually, I can't see any damages ot the PCB.

Please let me know what information I can provide that may be helpful.

    Thank you in advance.

My first suspect when having this issue is a marginal/bad electrolytic capacitor on powerboard, also possibly a bad solder joint on bottom of powerboard.

Thanks for your input. I'll see what I might be able to detect with my limited competence. Still, strange it seems to work fine en retail mode. I'll see if I can get it up and running in retail mode to confirm it's still the case.

Thank you for input. If that's the reason I have to consider this Samsung lost in combat. Still, strange it seems to work fine en retail mode. I'll see if I can get it up and running in retail mode to confirm it's still the case.

Consider that often Samsung recent sets has got tcon board integrated to main board, and in shop mode there are video settings that draws more power (electrical, computational) than user mode.. so this is the reason for me.. post a rear picture of boards elements.. check the heat after 10 min. in both modes..

Pictures uploaded. I hope the quality is good enough. It's a separate T-Con board.
Check temperature is a good idea. What's more relevant? temp on the back side of the PCB, underneath the processor or on the heat sink surface on top of it?

tcon is on the main board, the first picture is a led driver board, obviously the heat on the cpu is relevant, no need to flip the board, put back on the heat sink and feel it with finger
NOTE: early QLED series often suffers from bad BGA, not said it is strictly the cpu, it can easily be a ram chip..

Another NOTE in ADVANCE: people that do not want to throw expensive TV sets, computers, tablets an so on every 2-3 years, after 2-4 months by purchase brand new, open the sets and carefully SEAL 100% around every BGA chip with Hot glue, or Conformal coating, recycling islands will be happy too..

this had nothings to do with BGA at all...
tell the source you are using at home mode ..?

I told you I wasn't competent enough. Now I learnt it was a led driver board. Thanks. I will find my IR thermometer and do some measurements.

I've been using a STRONG LEAP-S3 PRO androidtv device. ...but the previous owner probably used something else. I bought the TV with the issue known for €10.

rest the set to factory.. don't use any external source... set it as home mode when you are at installation step of signal choice do it with out signal ( No cable )Areal or cable , see if it reboot

99.9% yours problem with signal from HDMI setting at yours STRONG LEAP-S3 PRO, change setting of HDMI section in bit / resolution/ turn off ECC, at end yours TV dont play with it at any way HW or SW.

I have the same issue without any source connected. I've tried all the reset alternatives incl. reset from the service menu without luck. Same behavior when pulling the flat cables to the panel (but with black screen).
The TV:s spooky habit of controlling menus by itself seems to have accelerated. "The haunted teli."
