Solarized/Polarized Image on an LG 42lk450-uh

I recently had a lightning strike that caused my LG to stop functioning. After some research, I concluded it's most likely the main board that was causing the issue. I purchased the exact same board as mine on Ebay and I swamped out the old board this morning. It powers up and at least shows an image, but I'm getting what can only be described as a solar image.

You can see the link to an image that perfectly mirrors the same issue I'm having: http://tmp.redhype.com/gvX3MKipOU.jpg

You can also see the Youtube video I found that looks exactly like my issue here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-aXKCTiU6I

I've been trying to track down how to access the LG service menu but I've struck out every time. I've tried Holding the Enter button on both the remote and the tv, the Home(menu) button on both the tv and remote, and have never been prompted for a password. I have read about possibly downgrading my firmware but I've been unsuccessful at locating an actual download. Does anyone have any suggestions on a possible factory reset or a way to solve the color issue?

    by petobongo
Hi, i have a LG 26LV2500 , i turned on the TV and the colors are awful, most likely solarized issue, already replaced the flex cable between board and TCON and did a reset, none of that worked.
    The mainboard is a EAX64280803.
    Can someone help me?

    Thank you in advance.

    Vizio E65-E1 strange image issue
    by remmurdmd
Hi everyone. First new thread here. I picked up a TV on the side of the road. It appears to function correctly with the exception of an image issue I'm unable to describe. I've searched for “double picture” and “double image” all over the web and all I get is repair videos for when the picture is blurry and the connections are getting interference between the display panels and the t-con board. I believe this is a t-con board issue, but I haven't found anything telling me conclusively that this is where my issue is. I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide. I live a pretty busy life...

Strange LG TV issue : Image vertical lines in black screen
    by Ancient1
    Hi

    Asking for a friend.

I'm used to black vertical line in otherwise good image - probable solution is a rubber to push and tighten the COFs bonding.
but here its the opposite !

TV has new T-con = same issue
A missing panel voltage would have global effect

So , what should one do ? how can I find where the fault is ?

    Thanks !...

philips 37pf8404 solarized image (changed as15f already)
    by reach7458
I got here an philips 37pf8404 with a solarized image. image one

First guess its a bad as15f. so I replaced it with another. Same issues
So I replaced it again with a rm5101. Same issues

Problem is that is projecting a solarized image irregularly. When I pull the hdmi cable and put it back all is okay for a undetermined time. It also helps if I change the input from one hdmi port and back.

One thing thats weird and I don't remember if it was the case with the previous tvs I repaired.

When the image is solarized it doesn't affect...
