Yes, on the underside of the board, a trace comes from the Gate pin to a diode or transistor of some sort and the 3 resistors, route to the Drive pin of the IC (per the docs for a 1606B), the last resistor (bottom on the image) resistor labeled R13 is blown.

With that much damages, you should look and see how much the new board is and the price of the parts, right now you know that you have blown parts in the PFC circuits for sure, you will have to get that section working first before going further.

Agree with this. Look on Ebay--I saw a PS like this, for around $30 or so, looks quite similar.

REMEMEBR THIS_-from now on, when troubleshooting. NEVER just jump a fuse--UNLESS you are in a " controlled environment" such as on a variac or isolated current limited variable AC supply. NEVER just jump and "hope".

I once knew a "tech"-- a junkie (now DEAD)..who had the attitude that "he could jump a fuse--and pull the AC pug--before "something bad would happen". I asked him "how would you know when "something bad happens"? Smoke? flash ? Noise or FIRE ?

He ALSO one time--was trying to get a monitor cabinet apart, an IBM monitor IIRC. He did not have the right tools to release the "catches" holding it together...so, in his "brilliance', he just started pulling on the one loosened part, with all of his might, to get the rear cover off. I BEGGED Him to wait--till I could figure it out--but he did it his "own way". As he tugged upward on the rear cover...there was a "hissss" noise...meaning he had BROKE THE BASE OFF OF THE CRT !! Needless to say--the monitor was then RUINED !! He then lied to the owner--to get out of it--successfully...

Like I said--his perscription drug habit got the best of him, in 2007...

I learned my lesson! Also, the TV is now working, I put in a new PSU and it works great!
