i had a led tv,with no back light,but sound and dark picture,everything checked out ok so,took the screen out to look at the leds,switched on the leds went dim then off,found 1 led not lighting up,this was why no back light,took the broken led off the strip and bridged the gap on contacts with solder,put back together and switched on,,,,,.,.daughter is now watching the tv,cant tell there is 1 led missing.....Comment

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol! 
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing... -

Hope I didn't post it wrong kinda new at forum site rules and tradition
So I'm dealing with screen flickering problem on my laptop.
I'm not quite sure if it's the display cable or the screen itself that's causing the issue,
so I'm turning to you all wonderful expert on Badcaps for some guidance. Your help is much appreciated!

Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping... -
Hi Guys.
I have a Toshiba C50-a that powers on but does not show a display if the battery is installed.
It powers fine without battery and I can install the battery when the laptop is on, and is continues to work. It charges the battery fine.

HI all.
Working on toshiba m/b # 6050A2170401-MB-03 REV.1.00. Still only a newbie at this! Anyway, the laptop was working fine then suddenly lost display and hd not spinning up. (5v present at sata connection) afer inspection i found there is no 1.8v apparent. Ihave (at least i think i have) traced it back to U3 on boardview which I have attached.
On checking the chip i have confirmed 5v at pin 10 but no 1.8v at pin 1 or pin2
I tried injecting 1.8v at pin 1 but the board shuts down when I do so. forgot to mention the board starts and runs ok but strangley wont shut...10-24-2023, 09:56 AM
