    Samsung PS51D495A1K

    Hi all,

Trying to fix this TV for a friend.
Was working ok then "popped" and won't turn on.

I have opened it up and all seems fine bar one capacitor, see picture below.

Am not too sure if this one capacitor alone would stop it working?

The TV power button lights up and flashes each time.
I have also tested the fuse on the power board which reads 0.3 across it.

    Any ideas appreciated.....

    Thanks

    Absolutely possible.

    The fuse is good.

That looks like a Samwha capacitor. If you want the set to last, replace all of the Samwha capacitors.

Popping is not always a capacitor. Look for cracked diode and transistors or even I chips.

Hi - Slightly unrelated, but this is the 3D version of the PS51D450 right? Would you be able to tell me where one of the connectors go. I am working on a PS51D450 with a bad main board and can help you with some voltage comparisons.
