by N3StarHello,
I need help identyfing what is broken on this GPU - GPU core or VRAM. Let's start with what I did and know so far:
- disassembled, added missing SMD capacitors from same GPU
-(If anybody knows what Q518 is and would share this information I would be very grateful)
- artifacts during Windows booting are blue vertical stripes, I can take a photo if that would help
- artifacts in Windows are yellow-ish horizontal lines
- in BIOS/ text on black screen text gets extremely garbled
- GPU-Z doesn't show GPU or VRAM frequency
- GPU error 43... -
by klugecHello (sorry for my bad English),
I have a strange problem with my KVA2 RTX 2060 Super. As soon as Windows 11 is loaded, artifacts appear. Now the crazy thing: When I start Furmark the artifacts are gone and Furmark runs great without crashing. Mats test shows me no errors (PASS). Drivers can also be loaded without any problems.
Mods shows me the following error:
Code:MODS start: Thu Feb 1 19:16:00 2024 Command Line : gputest.js -oqa -old_gold -test 94 -dramclk_percent 100 -ignore_fatal_errors -run_on_error -fan_speed 70 -matsinfo

by madcrowHi There,
Anyone familiar with this kind of display artifact?

At a superficial glance, it sort of looks like screen-tearing. But that square-wavy boundary is weird...
The phenomenon was detected on- 3 screen <=> PC combos consisting of
- 2 different screens (same model: Philips BDM4065UC)
- driven by 2 different PCs via
- 2 different Nvidia GPU models (one desktop, one mobile) multiple generations apart,
- running on 3 different Nvidia drivers, each with siginficant age-gap,
- under Win10 Pro 22H2.

by rattlesnakeI recently put together a retro build that uses a particular AT PSU that fits in this case (LPX).
The model is HPN-100. I'm attaching pictures.
The issue is that after a few seconds of being on, I start to get strange artifacts. The image looks wavy. First it's fine and then it starts to pick up. After about 60 seconds it looks like this:
Does anybody know what kind of failure this is?
Can the caps be faulty? Which ones should I put more emphasis on?
What's the potentiometer for? What else should I check?
