I've been asked about a Panasonic TX-P42G30E which supposedly has very high amount if violet pixels after start. They get normal when the TV warms up. I would say something like ribbon cold joint or maybe some TCon processor?

Re: Violet pixels
If I had the TV, I would of course opened it and checked the caps already with ESR meter. The point was to discover if it may be a thing I can even repair. Otherwise there is no point dragging the TV to me over a long distance and me wasting the time with itβ¦Less jewellery, more gold into electrotech industry!Half of the computer problems is caused by bad contacts

Re: Violet pixels
Age on the Pdp, so increasing Vs means the panel pixels can discharge better/faster. With lower Vs they dont discharge properly and you get distortions like that when the panel ages, the gases become harder to light. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. by skyvalley99Recently my VT65 has started exhibiting sparking/misfiring pixels, it manifests as sparkling white pixels in the black area if there's brighter pixels in the same horizontal area (e.g. the smart viera boot screen, white credits on a black background).
On inspecting the screen closley you can see pixels misfiring in the upper area of the screen at all time, it just gets lost in normal content.
I've tried (without success) replacing the P/SS/SC board (refurbished boards) and re-calibrating the VSUS (including setting it to HIGH) but none has made a difference.

by TechGeekThe title basically says it all. The card displays randomly placed blue pixels on the screen (especially when rendering 3D stuff), the right edge of the screen is garbled in VGA mode, and it sometimes fails to re-initialize on a reboot or when trying to wake up the display. Bad VRAM? Dud GPU?06-06-2024, 07:41 PM

by Repair_daneHi guys,
A friend gave me this TV with slow pixels on 1/3 of the screen in the left side. Most of the "sick" pixels will get the colour right after several seconds if you let it stay on steady image.
In some places the pixels look like they have been burned in and stay that way.
I ordered a new t-con, hoping that it would fix the problem. I recieved the wrong type which doubled the image so I had the same image in left and right side, but the error was still in the same pixels. So it's not the t-con
Has someone seen this before... -

Anyone offer any advice to solving this problem. 2017 we replaced a board based on advice here and got another 6 years out of this tv set.
It's really apparent in the white colors on the screen.
Here is a video

I tried to make adjustments to the VS adjust It did clear it up but it hit the voltage limit and reset the tv. There are no broken solder joints and nothing looks visibly bad....06-01-2023, 04:20 PM - Loading...
