Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue before I give up on this TV.
In short, I replaced the T-CON board due to an error code indicating that was the problem, after which it flashed a green and orange LED meaning software update required. I cannot get the tv to do the required update via USB, so I am stuck.
Here is a rundown of the symptoms and the steps I have taken to troubleshoot:

I have been given a SONY KD-43X8305C Android based 43" 4K TV.
It received a software update which failed and then failed to boot after.
I have tried holding Power and Volume down (-) then applying AC power, multiple times, with no success.
The backlight is off, the main status LED is Off, the Mainboard heat sink gets slightly warm if left on for more than 30 minutes, showing it is getting power.
PSU has normal outputs. Screen appears blank even with a torch test and no start up sound from Android is heard when powered on.

This machine came in with a no power complaint after a liquid spill. The only damage I found was on the two USB-C boards, so I replaced those, and the machine charges and fires up. However, if the internal LCD is connected to the logic board, when it boots, I will get a critical update failed warning and the only options are to shut down or try again - it's a loop. I am able to start up fine in safe boot. If I disconnect the internal LCD, I am able to boot normally to the OS. The customer doesn't want to invest any more money beyond what I already charged. Hi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
