This machine came in with a no power complaint after a liquid spill. The only damage I found was on the two USB-C boards, so I replaced those, and the machine charges and fires up. However, if the internal LCD is connected to the logic board, when it boots, I will get a critical update failed warning and the only options are to shut down or try again - it's a loop. I am able to start up fine in safe boot. If I disconnect the internal LCD, I am able to boot normally to the OS. The customer doesn't want to invest any more money beyond what I already charged. Unfortunately, based on what I saw with this machine initially, I'd have not figured it had a bad screen, especially seeing as how there was no signs of liquid damage anywhere, and the LCD panel seems to work fine.
Is there any workaround I'm not aware of here? It's a shame because it's a perfectly working machine it seems, just that if the screen is connected, I can't boot unless I'm booting with shift key.
