You may check in circuit.
Since the buffer is integrated, it will be necessary to locate the floating ground on the board. Could you post detailed pictures of the Y-main, as clear and focused as possible. Then you can check the ICs for shorts completely.
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

here i have the same tv, but this one boots up with chime, when the Y-sus is unpluged,
what was the out come of this thread,
it seems to have stopped dead a year ago,

Have you done the buffer IC check ? check across the two big green resistors on the board near the buffer ICs if they are low ohms then you have blown ICs, and if you are not confident in replacing them you will need a new(S/H) board or to find someone that can do it for you, not a cheap job but then again replacement boards are not cheap either

And ribbon connectors to Vfg test Ok?if that's the case test all IGBTs /diodes and transistors on heat sinks if any IGBTs are faulty replace IGBT and drivers as well to be safe, look for repair kits they sometimes list the board placement numbers so a good place to start looking and testing. hope his helps Flocko
