Dynex DX-40L261A12 won't power on, relay clicking repeatedly

Ok, I have this Dynex LCD that is now will not turn on. When power is applied, red light comes on, relay clicks and then after about 2 seconds clicks again. it then continues to do this until power is removed. This used to happen once in a while and would fix itself if left unplugged for a while, now it's continuous.

I am attaching pics of the front and back of the power board, here are the voltages on the pins on the big ribbon cable connected to the main board (voltages that show a range show how the voltage varies when the relays click on and off):

    main board
    unplugged plugged in
    GND 0 0
    GND 0 0
    STB 0 4.1V - .054V
    5V_S 16-19V 5V - OL
    5V_S 16-19V 5V - OL
    12V .003V 11.7V - 0V
    12V .003V 11.7V - 0V
    GND .005V 0V
    BR1 .005V .43V
    SW 0V .045V
    GND 0V 0V
    GND 0V 0V
    5V_M .063V 5.2V
    5V_M .063V 5.2V

Large cap is reading steady 222.7V.

I don't see any obviously bulging caps anywhere, can anyone give me a hint as to where to start with this?

Carver CM-1090 - Power relay clicking on & off, then fuse blown after 20-30 seconds of power cycling.
    by beetle1303
I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.

On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...

Garage door RX unit (Cardin S38C) does not short relay to send opening signal
    by CoinCoin88
    Hello everyone,

I'm turning to the Badcaps community to help me troubleshoot the radio Rx card from my (old) garage door opener. While I could just ditch that card and replace the whole system, I first would like to understand "why" it suddenly stopped working, because that's just how I am wired...!

Some basics: the receiver works on a 30.875 Mhz frequency. Yes, I'm aware this is not in use anymore in a looot of places. It does not use any rolling code, it's just a regular dip-switch code that you have to set up on both the receiver and transmitter. The receiver...

60" LG 60PB690V relay clicking issue
    by DodgyTech
    Hi everyone,

I require some help with my TV. The TV standby light blicks on and off with a clicking sound (relay?) from the back. After I opened up the TV, I set about troubleshooting by unplugging the boards to try and isolate the problem. My troubleshooting suggests that the logic board is causing the issue, but it could entirely be the YSUS board which is only activated once the logic board is connected.

I have recorded a video which I thought would be an easier way to explain the problem and show the boards at the same time.

I would like to try and identify...

Pioneer amplifier A-205 Relay not clicking after a mistake i made
    by GraphicMan
    Hello guys
Because the unit is old (but only occasionally used) the loudness button causes some noise due to bad contact,
sprays did not work, so i decided to solder the pins that it connects on the pcb at the on (loudness on) position
i did that and it worked fine, i know from the bottom of my heart that the switch connects 2 pins and also d/c other 2 pins
on every position it have (6 pin switch), so i was curious what would happen if i clicked the switch off while the pins are soldered at on (so basiclly on and off at the same time), when i did so the sound is gone, nothing...

Onkyo-593 No power and now clicking sound
    by Sisko
    Hi all!!

Ok just got a Onkyo SKW-593 sub woofer that has no power person told me that it smoked and that his GF let the volume full when she powered off the amp and when he came to turn it on the sub played but then suddenly smoke was coming out, didn't say from where. So opened it up and saw a resistor made of metal (pic) but can't see any writing on metal par so what ever was written on it was burnt. So I'm kinda stuck here with this. I did ask for a repair or schematics in the other group section and waiting for this but I hope someone here might lend me a hand to try and identify...
