Saved this beast from the landfill this weekend.
Manfactured July 2013 in Mexico.
I love working on plasma TVs.
Its been a while but I was lucky enough to find 2 this week.
The TV powers on and stays on but no picture. Havent checked for sound yet.
No bulging caps although the insides are pretty dusty and the boards are discolored from many years of high heat.
Will start troubleshooting tonight.

My question is a general one, but applies in this case to a Samsung BN44-00342B power supply with a thermistor labeled as NT801S. How hot is too hot?
The TV is working fine and the power consumption is normal (~200-250W). But the thermistor is super hot, measuring around 200F (~100c) or more depending on brightness. The circuit board under it is slightly darkened. But I can't believe this is normal and am wondering if I should replace the thermistor. -
Based on my limited past experience along with other reports this is a common problem with Samsung (and possibly other brands of) TVs. When turning the TV ON, it takes a long time and seems to cycle through various peculiar states before it will operate properly. I've also had this same problem with a slightly older Samsung 40" HDTV. In the prior case, it was pretty easily repaired by replacing blown out capacitors on, what I think, is called the Power Supply Board. In that prior case the bad capacitors were pretty easy to identify by swelling that was conspicuous on the top of cylindrical... -
Good evening. The TV, as per the title, was completely turned off at a voltage test on the power supply board marked "DPS-126CP" known that the 13 volt output of the "Q7911" appears but not on the "C7962" the 5 volt and present a light hissing from the card in question, I try to close contact 3 and 4 of the optocoupler location "pc7702" and I am pleased to note that the screen lights up even if it is white and the 12 volt that feeds the "T-CON" also appears in the part where the sensor controls appear remains off after a few seconds the TV switches... -
