I'm watching it in the dark, WOW! The picture is real good. But it does have the red haze I will need to fix. Also apparently you can tweak the V presets in the service menu to get down to 9.5G black level, so I know what my project is when I get it on the wall proper.
Aside from the clipped ground lead, it looks like BA18BC0WFP will fit (the tab is still grounded, which is probably the only important thing.) It's available from Farnell.
Congrats, you got your KURO
Got a feeling you may find something like BA18BC0WFP on some Panasonic DG boards, TNPA3519 as an example.
any time you want prices from that site let me know i have my log in details again now they are cheap on some things and expensive on other bits but there again its a independent business so probs high over heads.

Hmm, sounds potentially risky to me, unless it was very cheap I wouldn't take the risk.
The IO board and main logic board are worth about $150 total, the sustains and PSU are worth very little, as they rarely go bad.
On the add it says it is intermittent, only on the top 3" and shows itself on white backgrounds. I did find the ics availible I thought it sounded like an open in one of the ics. the more common red tint appears to be on black and affect the whole screen.
Lucky you, what did the fault end up as? Ive been searching for one of these in my price range without any success for some time now
edit just looked again and found one for 250 mostly working has purple haze on top 3" of screen, do you think the buffers are failing? and are they available?
Purple haze is actually a common fault - look up "Kuro red tint".
This TV has it very faintly, it is fixable, it requires an RS232 terminal. I will do it after the repair. You have to fire some commands at it, to reset some type of internal counter.
The buffers are NON-REPLACEABLE. They are bonded to the panel via soldered ribbon . But you could conceivably replace an IC on the buffer board. I think with some hot air, you might just be able to remove the buffer ribbon - there is only one and it's a long one. But I wouldn't want to try it.
