This TV has a fault which is intermittent. It could be every 5 mins then it might not happen for hours both picture and sound go then come back on after a couple of seconds ( Grey Screen). When this happens the green led at bottom of TV remains on. Done a bit of research into this and it appears that the most likely course of fault is the Pixelworks chip on BL board. Can anybody confirm this by experience?

pixelworks make scallers, it would be on the main board - and unlikely to effect the sound.
more likely the 12v is dropping out - killing the panel & amplifiers. -
