46" Samsung UE46B7000WW LED TV - vertical lines issue

Hi all

Got a 46" Samsung UE46B7000WW LED TV with vertical lines running down the screen (see attached). Could this be a main board problem ?

Intermittent? Permanent?

Try blindly accessing service menu:

(From Standby: Info Menu Mute Power, wait for set to power up)

Access Control > Test Pattern. (You need to find another TV or a picture of the service menu to know which entry this is unfortunately.)

You have three pattern selections (press left/right to move through each pattern, up/down for each generator):
- FBE Pattern Sel: This is the main board pattern generator, the OSD is added on top.
- FRC BeforeDDR: This pattern is generated on the t-con before the FRC converts the video (50Hz -> 100Hz, etc.)
- FRC AfterDDR: This is after the DDR is used to process the video for the FRC.

If the fault exists only on FBE Pattern Sel: main board
If it exists on only the BeforeDDR or AfterDDR: t-con board or panel
