Panasonic TGH-42PZ70B, not recording time of use/sos errors

Odd one--not affecting anything--but this set doesnt seem to have recorded its recent sos-errors or the use/time on times.

The boxes where the info should be are in case of time of use--empty and the sos all indicates 00, 00, 00 etc...
Pressing 'mute' for more than 3 secs does nothing.....

    Try a reset?

VOL- on TV for 3 seconds, "0" on remote 3 times. Turn it off when diag page appears and it will boot as fresh from the factory.

      Hi Tom,
Will doing that not erase any SOS and hour-meter reading?

Just curious really, Ive shoved it up on the wall--in place of the LG 42PC1DA....

Very fine pitch panel--no wonder they had problems making them--This one has the odd green pixel out, but not really noticable from more than 2 foot distance....

      Great picture on it....

It will reset SOS but not hour counters.
If you are getting some pixels not firing bump up Vsus by a couple of volts, on the P board.

          Ah--OK....

As to the pixels--Not too worried about it, and with the apparent reputation of these 42" FHD 1st gen ones--dont want to push my luck....

BTW--That hand-written voltage-marked on the panel for Ve and Vsus--Aint that clear either! Really can tell whoever wrote it doesn't normally write English numbers!

Hand calibrated by an engineer in Japan, same for most early Panasonic panels. It was an achievement to get over 3 million pixels in a 42 inch panel, so they did have to calibrate them by hand to get them to work right.

Would be a good idea to install the SOS7 software update (prevents SC board failure; although it's only one transistor so not too hard to fix) - tw2005 I think has a copy.

Most of Japan, especially science and engineering, use Arabic numerals ("English" numbers), the same as we do. However, handwriting styles are different, and are especially poor for most engineers!

No, I've got nothing like that at all. Maybe someone else.

Ah right, had a look on Panasonic website--pretty useless for anything older than 2010 year, Not impressed with that....

Will start another thread asking if anyone has it.....

Panasonic SAPM-31 Mini hifi, Tapedeck motor spinning all the time
                  by lcdcaps1
                  Hi
I have a Panasonic SAPM-31 mini hifi and the tape deck motor keeps spinning all the time
If I just connect the ribbon cable to PCB That is connected to the motor, it spins continuously

If I change the input it still spins

I have put it all back together with all the belts in place and still
I can play, forward and rewind but the motor never stops when I press stop

This never used to happen so I am not sure if a transistor has failed or a diode
I will really appreciate the help from this forum
                  Thanks all

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
                  by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Gaming Laptop Zephyrus S17 TFT not detected every time !
                  by titomno2
                  Hi guys,
I post my problem here because I think it could be a capacitor related issue (Asus support on this particular subject is non-existing).
So the computer is a Zephyrus-S17-GX735LXS-26T and the strange behavior is seen.
On cold start most of the time the internal screen is detected and a picture it works fine until shutdown, sleep or deep sleep.
Then the screen won't work for a long period of time.
If I wait 1 or 2 hours it work again most of the time.
When it doesn't work the batterie indicator blink 3 times white stop and the same schematic is repeated...

Panasonic th-42px60en plasma TV takes time to turn on and make clicking noises
                  by novak2
                  Hello there,

I recently bought a Panasonic th-42px60en plasma TV second hand. The problem is :
The TV takes time to turn on from cold (being unplugged from the night for example), it tries to turn on with the clicking sound, then shuts off, then retries and so on. The TV is still working, just it takes time to boot.

From what I've read it seems to be bad capacitors on the power board, but I just want to see if anyone had the same problem with this TV.

                  Thanks in advance.

Adding a clock battery to action camera to retain date&time when changing batteries Campark X25
                  by flat-earther
I have a cheap action camera with an annoying trait, every time I change batteries the date & time gets reset and I have to set it again.

To solve this problem I want to add a small internal battery inside it which will keep supplying power to the camera for a while while I change batteries so the date & time is retained.

I have opened the camera and I think there is enough room to add something inside to accomplish this:

The camera is powered by a 3.7V nominal single cell lithium ion battery.
So I need to connect another battery in...
