    42pc1d control board swap

brought this tv and fixed it as in other post but was left with the red sparkle problem so far have found two people on here willing to flash a new firmware on the control board but thought i would look on the net for a newer control board so found one on ebay and won it for £2.20 but on the auction it says will not fix the red sparkle problem http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2614520905...#ht_728wt_1305
yet on another site someone posted

I got my LG 42PC1D plasma back, and replacing the controller board fixed my red dot issue. I inspected it both with no signal, as well as while watching both SD and HD content. I couldnt find any red dots. So it fixed the problem, hopefully for good. I also had problems with HDMI sound cutting out, and they replaced the main PCB board for that, and thats okay too in case anyone has that problem. Part and part number are below for red dots:

    Part: Controller PCB
    Part # : 6871QCHO77C

now that part# is the one ive just won so do you reckon it will fix the red sparkle problem for me? many thanks

    Re: 42pc1d control board swap

The sparklies problem is caused by the plasma panel wearing out; it drifts and the drive waveforms (generated by the Y-sus and Z-sus under control of the control board) are no longer sufficient for good picture quality.

An update to the control board is required which fixes this issue, by uploading new firmware designed to compensate for the panel aging.

It's possible a new board will have an earlier life timer, so for a few hours or days it might work right. But it is not the correct fix and the sparklies will return within short order.

You need to get the board flashed.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

LG 60PK550 Logic Control Board EBR63450301
        by Yanleb
Hi all, I just want to share the repair of my 60PK550-UA TV set.

The TV set was powering on, just no image. After verification, nothing wrong on the YSus or ZSus boards. Nothing wrong on the main board either.

But I noticed that the LED was not flashing on the Logic Control Board. This is an EBR63450301. The LED is supposed to flash even with all the flat cables disconnected, with only the power cable attached.

All the voltages measured at the electrolytic capacitors on the board were good. From top left to bottom right:

Control Board Replacement for 2K display
        by redoxy
I am looking at the option of replacing my control/driver board to one with HDMI and/or Display port input on a 2K LED (I think IPS) screen.

        The display is Samsung LTM270DL07.

I have tried using the model number to search for a compatible control/driver board but so far my efforts have been futile.

I am looking for inputs on what board could potentially be used for my display.

Attached are pictures of the display label information and connectors (CON30 CON40 only) and pictures of the current control board.
        Also attached is a technical...
